I got everything set up and working but I'm wondering how I can use the PleXBMC library instead of the XBMC library for skins and other stuff so I don't always have to navigate to add-ons and then go through a less stellar growing menu

Emby is similar to Plex and they've released an add-on that links Kodi to it's library. More info avail here:
