I have a Amazon Fire TV, Kodi works great on it, i have a movie library of over 4700. The one issues i have is using the filter. It very slow. It lags so much its almost unusable. All my movies are on a NAS on my LAN. i was thinking of setting up another box (jail) and having MySQL run off of that. will this boost my performance issues or will it have no impact?

MySQL won't make the database load any faster on a Fire TV. If anything, it might be a little bit slower.
