Any post helix update I've attempted crashes on library access. Does not see library files. If you go to videos > files, crashes. If you attempt to play a video, says video is no longer available. If I reinstall 14.2 no issues whatsoever. All the old config files are kept. Have tried every RC nightly and final release since. Can try blowing away my library completely and a fresh install but have been attempting to avoid this. That's my next troubleshooting step.
Even after all user data, and the kodi folder deleted under ./Library with a clean install of 15.0 crash on attempt to use file menu. Afraid I'm stuck with 14.2 for life in my MacBook Air, and now have to rebuild my library to boot.
Get us the Debug Log and crashlog on pastebin.com

debug log, searching for crashlog. Hard to find some on mac.
last crashlog before I returned to 14.2

I deleted the entire folder under ~Library/Kodi and did a fresh install of Kodi 15.0 without a library present, and it crashed even on a clean install the moment I attempted to go to Videos > Files
please read this thread http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=231585

then grab the test version i have linked there and post a debug log (wiki) with this test version. Its the same crash but the last guy who posted about it vanished when i needed him to help.

Also ensure that you have debugging enabled in settings->system before posting the debug log (wiki)

As soon as my library is rebuilt I'll install that version side by side and get you your logs. It may take a few hours for my library to finish repopulating but you will have my logs as soon as I can get them to you.
That version insta-crashes before I can even get into it to turn on debugging:

As much of a log as I can give you with that test version:

I can get you a longer log with 15.0, up to the point where I try to access library if you want.
you still have debugging turned off in that log - please move your userdata folder away - start the test version - enable debugging and then try to enter the files section.

what kind of external storage are you using? an usb hdd or something like that?

Even with the userdata folder moved to the trash, that test version you had me download crashes on initialization. I cannot put it into debug mode if I cannot open the app. The app doesn't open, it immediately goes to a crash report.

I cannot open it.
I just removed all versions of kodi installed, deleted ~Library/Application Support/Kodi and installed that test version. It still crashes before the app ever opens.
Kodi 15.0 Debug Log:

Kodi 15.0 Crash Log

This is all I can give you. The 16.0 test version won't even open. Those 15.0 logs as soon as watchdog tries to access the library to run an update it crashes, but debugging was on. Sorry I can't give you more.
