I have a lot of tv shows from some torrent site/sites and so there names isn't showing them under kodi

Is there a program to rename all of them and not make a mess?
I've tried renaming manually one series and just showed 13 episodes after renaming 26 out of 52 episodes so I undo'd all 26 episodes. Need some help, and stuck from using Kodi and Plex but like to use the free software than paying per month just to be viewed through out the house.

You don't have to do anything special for wmv files. If you are renaming files then you don't need to do any changes to advancedsettings.xml. What are you trying to do there?
Idk but I can't get Kodi to see wmv files and they are named correctly. I'll check again.
I read somewhere on wiki that it will play 2 parts of the 2 video files into one selecting from the list. That's the part I'm confused with and so I don't see double names of the same episode names twice in a row being listed through out the season (episode 1 part a & episod 1 part b). Really hard that it titled each episode show Garfield correctly but it's all coming under one file and so the 3 or 4 listed in kodi will keep showing episode 1 as a whole 23 min episode.
And I have some shows that the intro is separate from the show file and was also wondering on how to play the intro first then play the episode if that's possible.

Because that won't work. It needs to be something like
Disney's Recess episode S01E01a.mp4
or
Disney's Recess episode EP1a.mp4

nvrm, somehow it fixed itself. how do you get episode name listings from TVRage? bc i have incorrect order being listed for Sonic the Hedgehog series (1993).
