I have the default web interface enabled because i want to control Kodi (penelec) from my Mac. I can use the simple remote control, but i don't see how i can use my Macs keyboard to enter search criteria, URLs, account details, etc.

Am i missing something?

There are webinterfaces, where you can send text. since you use mac, yatse (for android) is not an option.
it's possible with my interface yarc, but there is a problem with the official release and Kodi 15.x (not installable right now, i am looking for a solution, hopefully this week).
other web interfaces might also have that.
