Rather than an external browser/client initiating a handshake to Kodi, is it possible to have Kodi initiate the handshake to some Websocket server upon startup?
No. Kodi acts as a websocket server only.
Ok, hum, well I'll have to work around that. Since the forum only allows for >3 length search terms, I'll ask here, can I issue cec commands through the json api ? I don't see in the docs, but wanted to check just in case it was undocumented.?
Issuing CEC commands through JSON-RPC has been requested before but never implemented so far.
But I could do it if I wrote a service and used
built-in functions correct?
