I see in one of the changelogs there is supposed to be a now playing notification. In the options I have enabled notifications, however I don't get any notification on my phone. Is this feature currently not working or is there some trick to get it working? This is the only thing preventing me from moving to this remote from yatse. I need the lockscreen controls.

It is working, at least on the devices i've tried it. Notifications is fairly standard in Android, and should be compatible with all versions, so i can't think of a reason for it to not work. Lockscreen notifications is a different matter, as it only works on lollipop.

I should've been more detailed. I am on cyanogenmod 12.1 which is Android 5.1. Notifications in other apps like yatse and Netflix work fine. Phone is an LG g3.
