Full Version: ActivateWindow shutdownmenu not working correct

Hello,

I tried to open the shutdownmenu via JSON
{"jsonrpc":"2.0","method":"GUI.ActivateWindow","id":1,"params":{"window":"shutdownmenu"}}
(Name from http://kodi.wiki/view/Window_IDs)

The menu gets open, but no further input is possible via JSON.
I have to use the keyboard to get out of it.

Open TV guide works normal
{"jsonrpc":"2.0","method":"GUI.ActivateWindow","id":1,"params":{"window":"tvguide"}}

Do I send something wrong ?

Thanks
I haven't tried this myself but the issue might be that shutdownmenu is a dialog whereas tvguide is a window and they behave differently. IIRC people have reported issues with dialogs and JSON-RPC input before.
OK, perhaps you can solve it in a next version.
BTW, if I open the shutdownmenu with keyboard "s" the input via JSON is working.
Very very very very long running issue Smile (I reported those multiple times since Camelot when I first started working with XBMC).

Some dialogs are too much modal and block all webserver actions. Only Event Server can handle those dialogs.
Thanks for the info.
Then I hope for a future fix :-)
