Kodi Community Forum

Hey guys,

Is there any upgrade path from Frodo to Kodi? I've tried the usual upgrade instructions but my installation can't find the kodi packages on the apt-get install kodi command.

I know I'm on an ancient build! Any help appreciated!

normally if you did the update procedure explained here: Kodibuntu (wiki) and did a reboot you should get Kodi directly. Maybe you missed the "sudo apt-get dist-upgrade" part which is neccessary as additional packages have to be installed.

If you did that and still don't get Kodi 15, please provide a Debug Log from your running version.

The os Xbmcbuntu is based on isn't supported anymore by canonical so a direct upgrade isn't easily possible. Backup your data and reinstall.
