Force closing Kodi when sound output changed from analog (default output) to hdmi (music playback). From hdmi to analog - all ok.

But as you said...it's only a workaround and not a fix. So I would add some notes in your ticket that disabling the visualisation has done the trick. But it should work with enabled visualisation, too.
