Good Morning all,

Can anyone tell me why kodi isengard in Ubuntu 14 refuses to play RTMP streams. I have the ubuntu restricted extras and flash installed. Im thinking that maybe... the librtmp.so.0 needs to be updated but not sure. Any guidance please, thanks community

sudo apt-get dist-upgrade should fix it. If not install librtmp1 manually.

Take care of illegal streams.
Hi there fritsch,

i have done that and got this -
Code:
usuario@usuario-Aspire-5742G:~$ sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
[sudo] password for usuario:
Reading package lists... Done

The following package was automatically installed and is no longer required:
  gnome-video-effects
Use 'apt-get autoremove' to remove it.

usuario@usuario-Aspire-5742G:~$

is this the expected result?
if not, could you please explain how to install librtmp1 manually. thanks for your help
i took a leap of faith and did this
Code:
sudo apt-get install librtmp1

this was the result

Code:
usuario@usuario-Aspire-5742G:~$ sudo apt-get install librtmp1

Hopefully that has done it.
Yeah, that's it.
sudo apt-get install librtmp1

Great - fixed it for me after days of searching

Thanks
Hallo, this is my result : (sorry about Polish lang.) :

[sudo] hasło użytkownika aleksander:
Czytanie list pakietów... Gotowe
Budowanie drzewa zależności
Odczyt informacji o stanie... Gotowe
librtmp1 is already the newest version (2.4+20151223.gitfa8646d-1build1).
Następujące pakiety zostały zainstalowane automatycznie i nie są już więcej wymagane:
fonts-roboto fonts-roboto-hinted libavfilter-ffmpeg5 libavformat-ffmpeg56
libavresample-ffmpeg2 libbs2b0 libcec-platform1v5 libflite1 libfstrcmp0
libgme0 libhdhomerun2 libjs-iscroll libmodplug1 libmpeg2-4
libopencv-core2.4v5 libopencv-imgproc2.4v5 libpango1.0-0 libpangox-1.0-0
libpostproc-ffmpeg53 libsdl2-2.0-0 libsndio6.1 libsodium18 libssh-gcrypt-4
libswscale-ffmpeg3 libtbb2 libzmq5
Aby je usunąć należy użyć "sudo apt autoremove".
0 aktualizowanych, 0 nowo instalowanych, 0 usuwanych i 1 nieaktualizowanych.

The most important is : librtmp1 is already the newest version (2.4+20151223.gitfa8646d-1build1)
and can make autoremove as well.

But for me Kodi is still not working (live streaming TV) and even if I find some channel that work - after buffering the whole screen stops as well as sound in a moment later.

I reinstalled Kodi several times, and diffrent versions, and at the end whole Linux Ubuntu but it didn't help.

Kodi don't produce A crash log, although this option is active in my Kodi.

This all is SOME FUC.... MESS Sad

Has anyone any ideas? Any help would be appreciated.
Best Regards,Aleksander.
