@jurialmunkey - the Home >Set home tile icon does not appear to change when set to another icon or custom image... it was working originally for me when originally created as an option. thanks

I'd still kill to be able to get the 'wide' view from Zephyr in Eminence Smile

In all honesty, I'm not a big fan of any of the 'episode' views now available. With v1 I always used Big Banner Info and with Zephyr I loved the 'Wide'...none of the views available in Em 2 so far are as attractive (or as streamlined and uncluttered) to me...

There also seems to be some redundancy between the 'thumbnail' view and the 'icons' view when looking at tv shows, for instance. The 'icons' view is the one I'm using because it's the simplest, and shows the most, however, the thumbnail view seems almost identical except that every poster has a large grey box around it. I'm not sure if this is intentional or whether you have other plans for the 'thumbnail' view that you still haven't implemented. I'm guessing you do since seeing posters when the view is labelled 'thumbnails' is inherently a bit confusing...

I would also welcome a 'poster shift' view like AZ (ps. Marcel's Titan skin has one of the best 'Poster shift' views I've seen)

@stueeey - is your icon in the extras/icons folder? Will only show from there - this is to prevent bug reports when people use incorrectly sized icons.

If by poster shift you mean a 3d poster view where the focused items rises up from the background then no. Eminence is purposefully flat. Everything is layered on a flat canvas with dialogs and menu floating above (v1 everything was flat but I thought this was an important change to make for usability sake)

re: icon - yes cannot even change the icon to a default icon already in the extras, icon folder. Note: the folder/file directory name is changed in the settings display (but the icon does not display)

I'm fairly sure at one point when entering into the icon setting to change it, it used to open direct into the the extras icons folder. it doesn't anymore... I may be wrong about this.

re: Poster Shift - didn't realise Eminence is purposefully flat (not something I had noticed if I'm honest). I don't think I would have described a 'poster shift view as 3D view. but seeing as you mentioned it yes the focuses poster does pop out so I guess that could be described 3D....

Please Note: I certainly wouldn't want to change your objectives or de-rail your design standards, as everything you have done so far is spot on.

I currently use the really large icon view (love it), mainly because my HT is some way from the sofa. So large posters are a must for me, but I would also like to see a slightly smaller horizontal poster display.... 6 or 7 at a time.

idea... how about a horizontal poster view that would denote focus like the poster 'widget' view (border around focused).
but without the plot on the left, With the posters enlarged so that approx 6 (+2half posters are displayed. this might be a good way to keep things within your design ethos/standards.

as always just, suggestions. thanks for all the hard work this must take.

Don't know if you saw that on Github yet, It's first time for me trying to commit and merge things on GitHub so maybe I did it wrong.
But I made a little change to your skin.
Basically it will just hide from the home screen header text any library count if it's empty.

So instead of:
152 Movies • 0 Episodes • 120 songs
you get:
152 Movies • 120 songs

Hope you like it.

Slight glitch where the background progress dialog is sometimes in the wrong place.

But meanwhile, can't you literally just 'lift' the Wide view from Zephyr or the Big Banner Info from Em 1 and 'stick them into' Em 2? Then eventually leave them as options or remove them if you come up with something you like better? I'm not a skinner so I have no idea whether it's that simple, and I can understand if (for creative purposes) you refuse to do so..

I add this option myself and yes, i missed some power options. In other skins i just edit out the options i wont need, but maybe its a option, that other people also like to use, so i just asking if you maybe will add this feature?
I'm looking at using skinshortcuts to edit the power menu. That way you will be able to repurpose the menu however you want.

Loving the new version of the skin. I have one problem and one suggestion

1) if I turn on opaque panels and have it set to show video file info the icons hang off of the bottom of the display area for them.

2) It would be nice to have a way to set the navigation bar to be text only I remove a bunch of the native items so I end up large gaps of white space on either side of the menu. Even what is currently displayed will be pared down a little more at minimum with removing videos and maybe even programs. So it would be nice to just have the text labels and the little highlight at the bottom to reduce the amount of wasted space and allow more of a view of background art.

I got a ASRock Beebox for my Kodi. Now i install Windows 10 and all drivers. Install Kodi, setup all. Looks good and all is working.
Than i install your Skin with Github. Clone to Desktop. Also

Skin shortcuts requires the unidecode module from the repo. As the git version of skin shortcuts is no longer needed (the script was updated on the repo a few days ago, and to the best of my knowledge jurialmunkey isn't using any of the features that have been added since), remove your version installed from git and install the repo version through Kodi - the dependencies will then be installed automatically.

I cant find the Repo Version on Helix repo.
How can i find / install it?
