which app are you using on the iphone? (only the music app is tested) - also after disabling picture and video support kodi needs to be restarted...
I've actually been trying with Spotify as I don't actually load any music on my phone for the Music app. Will load up a cd though and test that. I don't think I restarted after disabling that. Will do that and get back to you guys tomorrow.

Hi there,

First posting! I'm having the same problem as EngineerPeter and pletopia and would really like to figure out why this isn't working.

My setup: rpi2 with Hifiberry DAC+ Pro running Kodi (OpenElec ver 6.0.0 with Linux kernel 4.1.12) and an iPhone 6

Description of problem: Trying to select music from my iPhone to play on my system (both from Music and Spotify). I'm able to see the Kodi device (image 2: RPI2, as a speaker for some reason), it let's me select it and the song (image 2) continues to play only with no audio or change to the XBMC. After a couple of seconds, the track 'elapsed time' disappears (image 3). Image 4 just shows my audio settings, I turned passthrough off as it was causing white noise for my multimedia.

Pics to show my settings:

I do not know if this can help you. On my android box I use airpin. Latest AirPin (PRO) V3.0.1 apk (support iOS 9.x) Here is the download link of the latest AirPin (PRO) V3.0.1 apk file:
http://minix.com.hk/downfile/AirPin_MINIX_3.0.1.apk
I have exactly same problem with iPhone 6plus and iPad 4. I have openelec installed on asus chromebox. I have try different apps like spotify, music, pandora etc.. always same problem. Very frustrated, I already went and buy chomecast for wireless audio=(=( This is not solution for me, but I think there is no way to get airplay work right now.
So i tried the default Music app and same behavior as with Spotify, not working.

My setup is a Kodibuntu box connected to my TV via HDMI and using passthrough settings for audio over that HDMI channel. I have also used default non-passthrough settings too and it didn't work either.

I'm using a Kodibuntu setup so airpin is not an option.

I'm using the unstable build of Kodibuntu (currently Jarvis Beta2) .. figured this would have been included
Well it should - but the issues which are posted here pointing in the direction that it has an Old libshairplay ...
I ran an apt-get update and then ..
Code:
xbmc@living-room:~$ sudo apt-get upgrade libshairplay0
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Calculating upgrade... Done
libshairplay0 is already the newest version.
The following packages have been kept back:
  linux-generic linux-headers-generic linux-image-generic rtmpdump
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 4 not upgraded.
xbmc@living-room:~$ dpkg -s libshairplay0

sorry - i think i forgot to ping our launchpad maintainer - pinged him now in the hope that he finds some time to update the lib...
Okay. Sounds good. Will wait for Beta3. Right now I'm good cause I got my iPad still at iOS8 which i've been using to get around this for now and no plans to update that guy anytime soon.

I've SSH'd into my rpi2 but doesn't seem to support apt-get...

Any chance for me to get this to work? Please see slightly older post if you need more info: http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=...pid2172858

Thanks for being so helpful to people btw!
