With Kodi becoming more easily available on Tv through Android TV, and given that Android TVs are quite recent with Sony being the first to sell them, two kinds of challenges face Sony TV owners:

Changes to their Sony TV options, settings, etc. since now they are managed by the Android system instead of a Sony OS

AND

Kodi's integration into that.
Yep.

in the link a tool to see if TV playback in true 1080 or 720 upscaled. I played the video using both video player and VLC on the TV and my result is 720 upscaled.

Is this kosher? Can Sony sell a TV claiming it's full 1080 native, when it's upscaling from 720?
When I click exit, it waits for almost 15-20 seconds before Kodi shuts down and the android system appears.
does anyone have a solution to the sound being out of sync with video?

Its in all the add ons, the audio is slightly faster than video. Please help, once i noticed it it became very annoying!
Got Kodi 15.1 installed. But sound is still a bit faster than video. How to sync this?
Kodi has a feature that let's you set the audio delay. Play a video and bring up the menu bar (ff pause stop etc). Click on the audio icon and you'll see it. You can set your delay as a default for all video. Not got the telly myself but 225ms is the value I've used often to sort sync out.
is this thread here really necessary?
