Full Version: Update pvr.wmc?

I didn't see this topic when searching, so apologies if I missed it somewhere . . .

My XMBC rig is running fine, but I need to update pvr.wmc so I can access the Music Choice channels as radio stations -- the 'update' button is not active from the add-on screen, am I missing something or do I need to disable/uninstall and start over?

Thanks in advance!
Which kodi-version are you running?
Gotham v13.1, pvr.wmc v0.2.93
The update button has never worked for pvr.wmc. If you want to download and run the newer Gotham one available on our website you need to hand install it. Really though, I recommend just moving on from gotham and getting the addon through the Kodi installation.
Pvr addons can't be updated with that "update" button, you have too download a zip file and install from zip

I think there may have been a newer gotham version of pvr.wmc (2.97 perhaps) but that is all quite old and you should really consider upgrading to Kodi 15 (Isengard) as your are 2 entire major releases behind

Pvr.wmc is included in Kodi so if you update to the latest Kodi that should include the latest pvr.wmc as well and no need to specifically update the addon

Thanks for the replies. I've been hesitant to update due to the WPF (wife patience factor) -- my build is pretty solid right now and more importantly she's happy about that fact. But, point taken.

BTW, you guys came up with a really slick TV solution, so thanks for that, too!
Update - got the latest release and now the indicated Music Choice channels show up as 'radio station', so thanks for the guidance. A couple of weird things, though:

The correct channel is not always tuned -- a little surprised to hear classical music when selecting EDM.

Only those 'radio channels' show when I go back to the EPG for Live TV -- it'll reset if I pick another option and then go back, but kinda strange.

I'm pretty amazed you guys have XBMC/Kodi doing the things it does, though, so good stuff. Thanks in advance for any feedback on these two anomalies.
In wmc (not swmc) look at the sources of this music channel. Look at the bottom of the list and see if an incorrect source is set for this channel, if it is, disable it.

On the other problem: you are looking at the radio channel list, then you click to look at the live-tv guide and you just see the radio channels in guide view? Which version of kodi are you running?
