I don't know one chipset from another, but can anyone tell if the newly announced FireTV will support
  • KODI
  • Hardware accelerated HEVC decoding from within KODI

still HDMI 1.4, which can not output 4k@60p like the shield could do. they use Mediatek chip, Kodi no longer in the Amazon app store but i think eventually you can put it in by sideload.
