Hey y'all

So I am trying to move away from using Windows media center as my PVR in my apartment and I am trying to get kodi set up. With windows media center there is the ability to add another computer as an extender that can see the same cable signal that my desktop can. I have a Hauppauge WINTV-HDR-2255 in my desktop and I have it configured to work with Kodi through NextPVR. I can view and record tv on my desktop at this point. What I cannot figure out how to do (if it's even possible) is to be able to view the same signals on my laptop that also has Kodi installed. Both devices are on the same network and are running windows 8.1.

Thanks in advance for any help y'all can offer!

Alex
Yep. Just install the nextpvr client on your laptop, then configure it with the IP address of your desktop. Works great.
On your laptop with the kodi front end, simply configure the NVPR addon, and point it to the ip of your desktop. http://kodi.wiki/view/NextPVR

You don't need the backend client on your lappy
Thanks! Got it all figured out now!
