Please help. I am transferring my setup/build from my Windows laptop to my MXQ M10 box. The KODI folder on the M10 system has a dot in front (.Kodi). It won't let me delete it or let me rename it. The new kodi folder from my laptop that I put on a flash drive and I pasted in there, will not override it either. The .Kodi folder in there is lighter in appearance also. I guess because it is a hidden file. I don't know why I can't delete or rename them.
why do you want to do that ? its part of kodi
I'm transferring my build from my laptop to the box. replacing kodi, thus replacing the .kodi.

May not be a good idea to copy files from one OS to a different one.
It normally works across OSes. You just want to double check the system audio and video settings afterwards, but that's just to be safe.
Thank you for the replies, guys. I got it to work with no problems on 3 M8S+ boxes now. It just won't work on this MXQ M10 box, leading me to believe it isn't rooted maybe. Not sure. It will let me paste and overwrite the original .kodi file but when I open up kodi all the addons are there but the custom menus and setup are not.
