Hi, i started again my investigation on my issue...

setup: central NAS (lot of movies, tv-shows....)
clients: >10 PI's with OSMC in the setup

issue: on my NAS - 124 tv-shows, in my central mysql kodi db only 112

yesterday i tried with a fresh standalone OSMC - all 124 tv-shows where found!!!

okay i was going and drop the DB and start from scratch - but then it will only found 16 tv-shows.....

has anyone an idea what could be the root cause?

thx,
/W
debug log needed
http://paste.osmc.io/uwinocepev

but in the folder on the NAS - there are >120 folders (TV Shows)...... Kodi only have a small amount scrapped Sad

thx
thats because your naming is downright horrendous. Please read Naming video files/Tv Shows
yes but if i'm running a standalone Kodi box then this device will idenitfy everything? i also have for most of the things nfo files......
Did you create the .nfo files yourself? If so, post an example.

okay how you are creating the nfo files? this is very strange for me.....
I use Ember Media Manager to scrape all of my movies/shows.
I have Sickbeard adding TV episodes and the necessary NFO files all the time. I've had no problems with NFO incompatibility. My TV sources are set to "Local Information Only" however... don't complicate things by having Kodi trying to create them too!

Check your Sickbeard settings for post-processing your files.

+1

You should have rename episodes checked, and then naming pattern defined.

However with your naming standard as per your log, there doesn't seem to be enough for SB to match with the appropriate TVDB or moviedb source.

Does your shows come up properly - and matched with the prepopulated ep list for the shows in SB itself?

If so, you can do a mass update, by going to MANAGE and then selecting all your shows and try to RENAME.

IF not, the. You will have to get the shows named close to a naming standard, use a naming platform like Filebot or Media Manager (or equivalent). You gotta throw Kodi a bone here Big Grin.

NFO files won't help you in this case.

kodi needs to see Atleast the following:
Show.episodename

It won't read the folder path and assume for you. Your setup is folder path/ episodename.avi

A properly named episode is show.sxxeyy.episode name

The NFO file I believe has to be the same as file name. Sick beard probably provided for you the correct show info
thanks for all so far...... but why is everything working with a standalone Kodi device and only if i connect to an mysql i have this issues -- i also started with an empty database.... no change only a small amount of tv.shows shown.... is there anything i should take care about it?
