Can you go edit your prior post so it doesn't take up so much space.

TIA

No Problem the biggest thing you can do to help yourself is read all the posts as your answer may have been already said.

Yes I Did It Again To See If I COuld Get It To Work. But Still Nothing.

Do I Need The Gamecenter Addon For This One To Work?

Well my though is some how the addon is not installed correctly as the error displayed in your log is due to credentials not being imputed. So I suggest uninstalling the addon reboot. reinstall it reboot then enter credentials hit ok and re-try launching the addon. Make sure to install the Repo on the first page and confirm it is version 2016.6.9
(2016-02-10, 21:06)cookiemonster70 Wrote: [ -> ]That is true. however the NHL uses and believe even with the new system uses two CDN Providers (Level3 & Akamai) While they primarily use Akamai for VOD they do also put Live streams to Akamai as their secondary CDN for Live streams. So lately the issues and the ones on NHL.tv launch was that Level 3 had miss configured something on their network while Akamai functioned fine. Hence why some said things went without a hitch. What I'm researching is how they are dividing things up because it doesn't seem the same way as before NHL.tv. Once I get that figured out i'll be close to being able to add the option.

The option will help mostly those using a proxy/vpn/dns proxy however it will help those who do not and are in a saturated market such as Toronto/NY/Detroit/Chicago where almost every one in that area would connect to the same CDN provider server and dragging it down. While the other one is doing next to nothing.

It of coarse will still always connect to closest server for either Akamai or Level 3. This is where DNS proxy could work better as it will still go to the closest server to your real ip location rather then say a proxy/vpn that is in Germany which would cause your Latency to be much greater and thus give more freezing/buffering.
I know after I added the option on the previous addon many stopped having freezing and when they did had option to try another server which eliminated or minimized that issue.

Before they had 3 CDN providers but what I'm seeing right now is just the two I mentioned but like I said i'm still compiling data. My biggest fear is they separated Live & VOD on each separate CDN providers which maybe the account for all the issues they have as one CDN provider can not coupe with all the traffic when they have more then 3-4 Games in one night. So far this is what I'm seeing but they may fallback to their previous ways with all the complaints and bad publicity the new system has been taking. Though I'm still at the early stage of collecting data for this to say for certain.

Good info. I understand that there is a need for this now. I would only request there be an option to disable the cdn manual override if the user doesn't know which server is best for them or doesn't want to be bothered switching cdn servers.

Good luck in your search!
New user trying to get the addon working. I get "Error: Script Failed NHL.Tv" when launching the addon. Rebooted and re-installed addon several times. From what I can see in the log, seems to be something wrong with the install, since it is complaining about "no such file or directory".

Thanks for any help!

Edit: I had a look at Tad3r log above and it looks the same as mine. Could it be that this is a new install of the addon vs an update from a previous version? I'll try to re-install one more time

Thanks, got it. looks like the new version has a bug that only effects users who never had any of the previous versions installed. For the time being you could install version 2016.2.7 then update to the latest.
I see people saying unblock-us is working with this add on. Can anyone verify if ad-free time also works? I have just bought ad-free time and implemented it through my router, restarted my fire tv (which has Kodi installed) and am hoping to watch the Rangers-Penguins game tonight. If I don't get a response I'll let people know myself if ad-free time works with this add on.

Sorry, I forgot to mention that you'll have to login (select a full archived game) before updating to 2016.2.9 The bug in 2016.2.9 is expecting your cookies.lwp file to be present when it loads. This file will get created when you successfully start a stream of a full game in the older version.
Ok, thanks. I'll give this a try tomorrow.
Cheers
Editing this post because I got it to work. I had to fully uninstall the Feb 9 update and run the Feb 7th version. That worked. Then I reinstalled the Feb 9th build from zip and it still works. Thanks!

New question: Is there a way to auto-update this add-on whenever you make changes or should I just check weekend and update manually?

From my previous post:

When I launch the add-on I get a pop-up box in the lower right with "NHL TV error".

I loaded the zip file from the first post in this thread but that doesn't give me any options so it seemed useless. Either way, I left it enabled. Then I found this link and downloaded the most recent zip (2016.2.9) and loaded that from zip. I entered the user email and PW that work and hit launch, but it gives me "NHL TV Error". Then I read a post about installing a previous version of the addon also. I did that but it still doesn't work.
Hello, I use the newest nhl.tv add on with kodi on fire tv. Recap is working but full games get an error everytime. Is there a fix for it? I'm logged in with my correct email address
I cant play most Games of yesterday (tuesday) with 5000 kbits aslive/relive. Nothing happend. The stream doesn't start.
Yesterday there was many trouble the night.

With 2500 or 3500 kbits its ok.

Is there a chance, that the addon use the lower stream use automaticly?
Now that I got it working, I love this add-on. Thanks for all of your efforts! I'm psyched to be able to watch hockey on Kodi again.

The menu and interface works great for watching today's games. Not to sound critical (because you're doing a great job with this) but I find that trying to watch older games is tedious to get through the menus. Particularly the enter a date option. Especially if I don't know the date of the last game by my team.

Is there any way to create some shortcut to show all games for my favorite team (as selected in the configuration)? Even better if it would sort most recent to oldest.

If not, maybe there could be a menu option for recent games, where in one long list it starts with yesterdays games and then keeps working backwards in time from there?

Keep up the good work. Thanks Eric!
Worked great for me until the last two updates.

Now I keep getting Error Fetching Stream: Too many usage attempts. whenever I try to watch a game.

I uninstalled everything. Reinstalled from 2/7/15 build but still got the same error on live and archived streams.

Thanks for working so hard on this.

Lucky! I haven't been able to get this addon to work with Unblock-us enabled on either the PC version or my Android TV (though it won't even launch for the TV) and tablet for a while now. Works on the official Ps4 app, though. Have to deal with soap opera effect to smooth out the crappy 30fps when I watch in-market games.... I've tried everything and nobody can seem to figure anything out from my logs.

Have you checked to make sure the DNS is set to unblock-us on your Kodi box(s) it maybe manually set to another such as google (8.8.8.8) are you setting the unblock-us DNS on your router on each individual device? As it sounds like the latter and the Kodi box(s) are set to other DNS.
Also one way to check is to in Kodi box(s) open browser and go to unblock-us.com and see if it passes it test

I set my DNS through the router. I've tried also setting it manually through Windows network configuration. I'll test it with the Kodi browser when I get home as you suggested. Thanks! Currently whenever I try to open any streams with my DNS set, it immediately throws an error. I haven't completely given up hope yet, though.
