The stream does not buffer, but the sound is ahead of the picture for a couple of seconds and then the picture starts to fast forward to be in sync with the sound again. It does that about 6-7 times during a full game. Not sure where the problem is....

I really think all of this is device specific... not so much caused by the device but how each device handles the situation.

I have a Wetek Core, and the other night I could not go more than 5 minutes without the video pausing, slow buffering, sync being off once playback started, and then high speed video. It was the most frustrating 2 innings I have ever tried to watch, and that was even with a reboot of the unit between innings!

So I got frustrated, disconnected the Core and connected a Raspberry Pi 2 running LibreElec to the same ethernet cable. For the next 3 innings, I had a few little blips.. a quick pause and then sped up video.. nothing major or overly distracting..

So I figured let's see what the Core does now... reconnected and everything ran smooth for the last few innings.

AFAIK, Kodi is still not capable of adapting the bitrate on the fly, unlike the official Android/ iOS / Windows 10 apps. I think what we are seeing is the quality from the servers dropping, and our respective devices handling it differently. I may test this theory in the near future... I could run my Core and RPi side by side and see what happens... I'll see if I have time this week.
I can't get it to stream correctly either.
I'm on kodi 16 on windows 10 on a alienware alhpa. It can run gta5 just fine. So I'd be shocked if it can't do this
I'm wired at a gig with 100Mbos pipe.

Buffering every few seconds. Yet the NBC feed is tolerable but the NHL feed is def better looking

LOL... I bounce around between the MLB and NHL.TV threads so much I didn't realize which one I was in when I posted this.... However, the thought still applies to this addon too.

No worries Wink This problem is pretty annoying, not sure why that started out of nowhere. For the first couple of weeks I had no issue with this addon at all. erack has done a great job with it, maybe the NHL changed something again?

Just for info I Used this plugin and the other NHL Gamecenter plugin for Kodi and Roku's app for NHL.tv. They all seem to lag occasionally. They all seem to pause then speedy catch up They all appear to buffer from time to time. They all seem to have these issues the same amount and as often. So far I am giving these apps some leniency and blaming the NHL.tv servers as the primary cause. They improved from last year. I can only hope they improve again next season. Not many choices for me even if they didn't. Hope this helps.

It has nothing to do with being adaptive...it has everything to do with the cache/buffer being too small. The buffer in the advanced settings xml isn't the buffer that Kodi uses for HLS streams. Instead it uses a buffer that is specified by ffmpeg and not configurable...that buffer is too small and is constantly running out which is why your stream pauses and then tries to catch up.
Scoring Notifications still fish me a good night, when only one is playing.
Wicked thanks

Hey guys, new user here. Running Nvidia Shield.

I just installed this addon, for some reason, it wont let me connect. (I've checked off the Rogers login box). It keeps telling me to check my login credentials. I log in no problem via web browser on my labtop here. Any ideas would be great. Thanks fellas.
Lads,

Apologies in advance. But can someone walk me through how I would set this up on a Fire TV? I have searched this web site up and down and I cannot find it. I literally just installed Kodi tonight (and it's now 1:42 a.m., so pardon my ignorance).

To be clear: I have the "add-on repository" installed, but I don't know where I go to actually access it. I can tell it's installed because when I go to "add-ons" then "my add-ons" and select "All" it's there.

But....where is the NHL TV thing? Sorry, everyone. I'm a fool and it's late. Any help is appreciated!
anything help would be great guys! Rogers user, cant login, even if i check the rogers box. any ideas? no special characters in my login/email addy.
Hey guys
Can't even get the add-on installed. I downloaded the .zip file and "install from zip" but then nothing happens. I see I can install from respiratory but when I choose eracknaphobia NHL TV doesn't show up.
I have Kodi 16.1 on a raspberry pi

If it's already installed you should be able to find it under Video > Add-ons > NHL.tv

Can you post a log? Really difficult to debug something like this without a log file.

You could try running Check for updates from the Context Menu (Press "C" while the repo is highlighted). If that doesn't work uninstalling and re-installing the repo seemed to work for some.
I use a logitech harmony remote, no keyboard on my NUC.

It's there possible instead of enter date (during a long time with the remote), a list by Weeks or every 10 Days a point in a list or every month.
