I tried to download Isengard 5.2 rc3 but the download repeatedly failed, so I installed a copy of Isengard 5.2 rc2 on an android mini pc. I launched Kodi and went to System--settings--addons and clicked on install from repositoryas I wanted to install Backup addon to restore a build I had backup from another device. a Remote Share window popped up with a message saying Couldn't connect to network server. i could go no further.
Is the Kodi server down?
Hi Ned, I tired opening the URL you provided and after waiting for ages it changed to
http://mirror.rackcentral.com.au/xbmc/ad...s/icon.png and returned a message in Google saying "Not Data Received - err_empty_response Reload"
I tried this at home and at work with same result. So I still suspect it is something at your end. It also appears to be preventing a connection to the Kodi repo that comes with an install. On a fresh install whe I click on Install from Repository I get a popup window with a message saying Couldn't connect to network server.
On an old install if I try to install an addon from the Kodi repo - eg Backup it starts a download but doesn't move beyond 0% and then returns a message saying "addon failed to install"
Looks like that Aussie server is down.
Thanks Ned.
Are my assumptions correct that this would be causing the issues I identified with trying to install addons from the Kodi Rrpo, and the popup window I get when clicking on Install fro Repository with a fresh install?
Is there anyway I can point at another server??
I disabled that mirror for now.
Thank you, everything is working fine now.
