When I play dvd's, they work fine for about an hour and a half, then playback gets really bad. Constant pauses, like REALLY bad data caching rates, searched the forums, to no avail, can anyone please help, Is this a known bug or a hardware/settings issue? I experience it with commercial and burned dvds.

Which DVD drive does your Xbox have? My parents' Xbox does this in XBMC, and they've got the Thompson drive. My Xbox has the Samsung drive and seems to do it on about 1-3% of DVDs watched. Seems to happen more on longer movies, and it only happens in the second-half/second layer of the disc. Tested both machines using the regular old Xbox DVD player in the stock dashboard, and they both worked fine.
Now I'm running an LG PC-DVD drive in my box and will transfer the Samsung to my parents'.
