I am new to this and would like to get a little help. We have a streambox mx2 with the HD18 V2.22 motherboard in it. This was sold as an android box and when I look at the system it has a Linux operating system3.0.101-MX #1 SMP PREEMPT We'd Jun 25 20:20:27 EDT 2014 armv71. I would like to try a few different skins out but need at least version 14.2 of kodi and am confused which one to download and how to install. We got the box flashed from supplier streamboxtv.net but they appear to have gone out of business - they supplied 3 files which we put on sd card and installed by using a toothpick. Any help advise greatly appreciated to get me going. Thank you
As android is based on linux you should download the latest version of Kodi for Android. I just checked if there is an older release available, but unfortunately it isn't. The oldest release you can get is 15.0 and be sure, you din't want that. It's not suported anymore and I guess there are a bunch of fixes for newer releases. So I would download Kodi 15.2 for Android arm from here: http://kodi.tv/download/

And follow those instructions:

Greetings
I cannot install on the streambox as there is no option to install apk files as there is on tablets etc. The only option is to install from sd card and there were 3 files recovery, image and another file. I have to turn mx2 box off and insert toothpick into the AV connection and wait for the android robot to appear. Any ideas appreciated.
