Hello. I have been trying to setup kodi exactly the way I like it on two android boxes. I realized that it is much easier to do so on a PC first. The plan was once I had everything setup how I liked it, to run Backup or USB SD Backup (tried both) and transfer the files to the android box via usb.
This seemed to work, except I don't think the guisettings.xml transfered properly. I had read this is because it cannot be done while kodi is running (so restore with an add-on is out of the question).
So next I force closed kodi, and replaced the xml files in userdata and restarted, but the guisettings are still not showing up
What is the easiest way to accomplish this? Do some lines of code have to be changed within the xml file because of the platform change?
