Yes you can update and re-install Kodi again
As long as you use the same ID to re-create the IPA file you won't even lose any data.
If you don't remember what that ID is you can connect the Apple TV to Xcode and open up the devices window, that will list the installed apps and their identifiers

Yep, the latest versions of both iOS and tvOS are compatible

trying to install Kodi for apple tv 4 but am getting a strange error in xcode saying that i need to register device .....but i already have set up a profile previoiusly when i put Kodi on my ipad....any ideas....one other thing i am using the apple adapter from usb-c to usb-a would that have anything to do with it?
Yes, I also tried various adapters and they didn't work. Had to use the usb A - usb C
At first my provisioning profiles showed in the App Signer app as per the instructions then began showing as only " * (NVW93XXXX)" rather that the com.Name.
Now the latest one does not show in the list at all.
I use a paid Dev account.
Any ideas?

Xcode will use a * profile if there is nothing special needed, this is the case for Kodi unless you enable the app group needed for the top shelf on Apple TV
Could you post the log for iOS App Signer? (It's in the View menu)

Hi All,
I have limited tech experience other then following step by step instructions.
I am having problem loading Kodi to my Apple TV 4 running tvOS 9.2. I am connected to my MacBook running El Capitan via a USBC to USBC cable.
I have followed the step by step instructions here,

Everything seemed to be going to plan up to the point of loading the .ipa file to the AppleTV where Xcode returned the error
'app installation failed no code signature found'
I would appreciate any guidance how I can resolve this issue.

I side loaded kodi with no problems on 9.3. However, I think with the latest ios9 update, kodi never opens up for me anymore. The screen goes black like the app is going to start and then goes back to the home screen. Does anybody else have this problem? Do I need to re side load? Will I lose all my settings if I do this? Thanks for any help.

What benefit would there be?
You can't install an IPA without signing it and iOS App Signer supports the deb directly.
If you're jailbroken you would just use the deb anyways.
