I'm using a Android Shield TV with a Windows 8.1 machine.
I'm sharing 4 drives in my machine, 3 internal drives, 1 external drive.
Kodi sees the 3 internal drives fine, I can SMB everything just fine, however the external does not work. Kodi sees the external drive fine, but when I try to access it I get prompted to enter a password. I do not use password protected sharing.
I cannot, for the life of me, figure out why only the external drive gets prompted for a password in Kodi when the 3 internals don't, and they all were setup the same way and have the same share settings.
Anyone ever experience this or know how to fix it?
Settings:
All 4 drives are using the same "system share" properties:
Network Discovery: On (For Private and General/Public)
File and printer sharing: On (For Private and General/Public)
Under All Networks:
Turn on sharing so anyone with network access can read and write files in Public folders
Turn off password protected sharing
For each drive letter:
Under "Properties --> Sharing --> Advanced Sharing --> Permissions"
"Everyone" has been added with Full Control checked
