I just bought a galaxy tab4 with android 4.4.2 and was able to install kodi.

I want my tablet to connect wirelessly to windows 7 computer where I have Kodi installed and all my movies and tv shows are located. On my windows computer I went to Services tab \ UpnP / DLNA and selected all the options.

After doing this I was able to stream all my movies to the tablet with some exceptions:

In the tablet I can not get to the movies thru the movies menu, I have to go through videos\files and then I can see the list of movies but subtitles are not coming through.

I need to know if this is the correct way of set it up or if they are more efficient options

Thanks in advance
When you installed kodi on your pc you set up video sources, set the content of them (movies or tv) and scanned. That's how the library is generated.
So do the same on your tablet. The sources will be different, that's all.
eg I have films in F/Video/Films on my pc.
But from outside the pc I use smb://192.168.1.2/BigRed3/Video/Films/ or smb://ASPIRE/BigRed3/Video/Films/
