Kodi Community Forum

I tried to transfer my Kodi setup from my Mac to my android tv set top box but it didn't do anything. It went thru the process and everything but when i rebooted my device nothing changed. Does the transfer only work between two like devices? i.e. android to android or mac to mac etc or am i missing something? I used the backup program in kodi itself and did it via usb flash drive in case you ask....

As we don't have a crystal ball handy, please descripe exactly the steps you did.

We need infos from which folder you take the backup from and to which folder you restored your backup. We need to know which versions you are running (source and target) and all the steps you did.
