zilexa Wrote:Completely different question:

Will this addon ever get a decent name? Perhaps even representing what it does?

Me: "Hey dude check out ** XOT UZG *** if you wanna see online tv in XBMC"
Friend: xot what the f*?

I understand it is splitted in 2 parts, the framework and the addon.. but why not give the addon a decent name?
XOT-Uzg = Xbmc Online Tv (XOT) and Uzg = UitZending Gemist which is the dutch term for Missed Episode. So the name is decent and it represents what it does.

The idea is that there could also be a XOT-ST (Swedish TV) or something like that that uses the XOT framework and only have the Swedisch channels.

And, hey, what's in a name? If I were to tell my parents they should check out XBMC or hyves.nl or to buy an iBook they would also not get what I mean.
wua ok I thought XOT = the framework... XBMC Online TV is cool Big Grin
And now I get the idea, Xbmc Online TV - Uitzending Gemist Smile Thanks.
Quote:Same problem for me with all swedish channels. I can watch for about one minute then it breaks. Thats sooooo sad because it would be the best script ever if it only was a little bit more stable.

I suspect this is buffering problem for RTMP within XBMC. Anyway, I got bored the slow progression for a fix for the problem and created a workaround that seem to work well. It includes using an "external player" for the RTMP streams. Its a bit of work and probably only work on Windows/Linux. I can post the details if your interested, but as i said, several steps and the playback won't be internal to XBMC.
Hello!
it would be nice to see your workaround for the rtmp stream.

I posted a quick guide + launch scripts at:

It for Windows but could be adopted with little work for Linux. As a bonus works RTMPE (tv4) with older versions of XBMC using this method.
Two questions:

1. The UitzendingGemist website will soon launch a new version. It is currently available in beta (http://beta.uitzendinggemist.nl). It will provide better movie quality, but it requires MS Silverlight. Will it be supported by XOT-UZG?

2. Would it be possible to add Eredivisie Live (http://www.eredivisie.nl/live) as a channel? It would be great to be able to see the game highlights/previews/occasional free matches through XBMC.

1. I am working on the Beta of UZG. However: I very often see these sites fail and than it took me a lot of effort. So, I will probably wait for a final date.

2. No, eredivisie.nl does not have a free "Uitzending gemist" part. So there are no plans to include it.

Great to hear that! Looking forward to it.

It does have an "Uitzending Gemist" part! Other than thast it really has a lot of free parts. The game summaries are free (for league, KNVB cup, Europa League, as well as the previews. Also there are clips of interviews, the "90 minuten"/"Doordekken"/"Eredivisie Update" magazines, best goals, ... It really has a lot of potential IMHO. please check out the "www.eredivisie.nl/live" page, click "Video" and look around a bit for an impression Smile

Additional issue: DRM. See here: http://code.google.com/p/xot-uzg/issues/detail?id=71

But just add your comments to the issue and I will see. UZG beta has prio.

Could you post a uzg.log on Pastebin.ca?
For the developper of this script:

http://tweakers.net/nieuws/70189/nos-wil...n-api.html

An article in dutch about a new API for NOS. NOS wants input from developpers. I'm not into this, but it sounds like an excellent oppurtunity to make things easier and extend functionallity.
At the moment im having problem with tv4.
There are no files inside.

any idéas ?

Hi Basje,

a while back Jappie17 asked this:
Jappie17 Wrote:I am encountering only 1 problem: When watching a program on RTL it starts to play instantly and works perfect, but after +- 7 minutes it keeps on buffering every 10 seconds.

You said that DVDplayer was the problem

Basje Wrote:DVDPlayer has issues with buffering. I don't really have a solution for you.

I'm using a special version of XBMC with a second player build in for DXVA 1.0 (on win XP) called DSPlayer. When I'm browsing through my normal XBMC library I have the option to chose between DVDplayer and DSplayer.

So I was wondering if DSPlayer would have the same buffering problems as DVDplayer but there is now way to select which player I want to use in the Ipad section (no DRM) of RTL. Is it even possible to switch player within XOT-UZG? if so, how?.

Greetings,
Maarten
