[/size] I am running Kodi 16 beta 4. I run 2 AFTV and 2 AFTV sticks. One AFTV stick runs on a less than 1 yr old tv and the other stick runs on a 8 year old tv. The kodi running on the 8 yr old tv will not play sound. Evry movie or tv show I play it will not play any sound rather it emits a sound like a pulsing bang. It is the same sound that would play on the XMBC version on the Ouya. I know Ouya pulled XBMC bc it didnt have proper licenses or whatever. When I was running 15.X it ran fine.

I havent looked at the logs yet, but my guess is since the move to 16 and running an old TV theres a lics that expired.

Am I on the right track or completely wrong?

I would go into Settings -> System -> Audio output -> Reset settings.

See if that helps. If not, please post a debug log (wiki) of when this sound happens.
