Hi All
I recently bought QNAP TS-853A which came with Kodi. QNAP connected to internet and I can go to different url address through google browser in QNAP box. When I go into Kodi to install new repositories with the URL address, I am getting the following message


Unable to Connect
Couldn't retrieve directory information. This could be due to network not being connected. Would you like to add anyway"

I was wondering whether anybody knows how to resolve the issue.

Ill ask the obvious....is networking working on kodi? can you install something from the kodi repository?

debug_log (wiki) might be helpful

It's probably a broken link.

Make sure you correctly typing the URL, and at the same time it could be a broken link.

If it's only this particular URL that's failing, download the repo zip on your computer, put it on the NAS or some folder accessible by Kodi and then use "install from zip" in the add-on manager. If internet connections is in general not working in Kodi, try checking proxy settings etc
