It dosent even hardly touch the gpu does it? Even playing a high bitrate movie its almost non existant changes in GPU-Z.

Whats your temp in that file its hard to make out what like corresponds to which.
i admittedly didn't try playing any movies actually i was just jumping around the UI, i can test again running video but like i said video is seemingly unaffected

also download the file and open in text editor don't view in google drive link it's hard to make it out that way

temp is about 65c as i was playing witcher 3 for a while there before
Yeah i thought it looked high i dont think ive seen mine over 50 odd deg.
max temps on 980ti are like 85c-90c for reference cards anyway so 65 is still pretty low generally for stock coolers, im in a Fractal Design htpc case about the same size as my yamaha receiver so it's fairly tight fit in there
I always forget the temps can go so high it worries me when it shouldnt.

Trying to fix a stupid drive letter conundrum at the moment and its making me into an OCD freak Smile
*bump* any kind of progress on this since my posting of the logs?
no news because you log isn't usefull. please create four separate logs.
1. Kodi 15 - true fullscreen
2. Kodi 15 - windowed
3. Kodi 16 - true fullscreen
4. Kodi 16 - windowed
