I have been told I can record OTA TV with the Raspberry-Pi2 with an added USB ATSC tuner and an added hard drive. Does the Nvidia Shield have these built into the unit without having to buy the additional add ons?

Nope. No tuner, at least. A USB or network tuner would still be needed. For the Shield, get a network tuner, like an HDHomeRun.

Shield and HDhomerun is a worthy investment.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm going to give the KWorld UB435-Q USB ATSC TV Stick with the RPi2 a try. Since at the most there are only 3 OTA channels available, I'm hoping this will give me what I need.
