Hi Everybody

I apologise if this has been covered, but Im trying to figure the best way to do this

I want to have a single server that I can use multiple remote devices with Kodi to stream the library, I setup a SMB share on my MacPro and was able to load the paths to my Q box with Kodi, works good, I went trough the library and ensure that any movies not recognised were properly edited and all works great

But now I add a second box and once I ass the SMB share, I have to edit the Lib mis-labels all over again

I expect to have 6 Kodi boxes ... a pain to keep it all in sync

Whats my best options to do this ? any advise ? I moved from iTunes and ATV because I want some of the Kodi functionality (main bit for me is the easy way to download subtitles) .. but the iTunes main library contains all the metadata, so any ATV that connects all have the same info

Advise appreciated

Interesting, thanks so much, I will check it out Smile
Have you checked this: http://kodi.wiki/view/HOW-TO:Share_libraries_using_UPnP.
I tried yesterday with one rasp-kodi as server and another kodi as client and it was working well for sharing library.
I still have to check if watch status and resume works between them.
that, or using mysql

Centralize your database on one server, each device accesses the videos via a share (looks like you are using SMB so you could still do that)

Very simple to keep everything in sync.
