I'm not sure if I want to upgrade mine yet my Pi is working great at the moment and not even sure what extra things Jarvis provides from the isengard I'm on now.

Off course is a developer edition, the final release will coming in OpenELEC website. Actually is stable on Raspi but are still working for better improvment for their box.
The new feature is described here https://kodi.tv/kodi-16-0-jarvis-mark-xvi/ for me great improvment in Video aoutput, Audio output, bluetooth support (with Raspi 3).

Yes, do not crash at all, is stable, is final candidate release. I tested with different add-on. Improved performance.
