Are you talking about this?

2016.4.7
- Replaced Highlights option with Recap (~3 min) and Condensed (~15 min) options for archive games
- The date menu item can now be selected in order to watch the entire days recaps or condensed clips
- Reversed stream quality selection dialog so better streams are on top
- Fixed blackout message not displaying bug
- Greatly reduced the size of the plugin string

(2016-04-20, 08:54)Common Man Wrote: [ -> ]Thanks for the great updates.

In trying to install on new device, I came across one potential problem. If the password to MLB.com is entered incorrectly, there does not seem to be a direct feedback that this is the case. The streaming will continue to fail with the "check log" message. Nothing in the log directly suggests the root cause but I see that a null URL is passed to the Player. If a direct check for successful login cannot be made, perhaps the URL passed to the player can be ensured to be non-null (which might happen many reasons) and perhaps a better feedback can be provided if known.at the time.

Using the latest release of the add-on.

Thanks
Good catch, I will look into making a fix for this issue.

I overlooked that. Thank you, it's exactly what I wanted.

As others have reported, the addon doesn't work with kodi 17. It's an alpha build, so I'm not too concerned about looking into this just yet. Use a stable version of kodi for the time being.
Free Game Of The Day is not working for my MLB.tv account. I have Gameday Audio subscription. I set the option "Single Team / Free Game Subscription" = On because that seemed the most appropriate.

When I have "Single Team / Free Game Subscription" = Off, I get "Account Not Authorized" message on the Free Game.
When I have "Single Team / Free Game Subscription" = On, I just get the "Playback Failed" message without the "Account Not Authorized" message on the Free Game. (And its not a problem with blackouts because tonight's Free Game is not in my area, and I get the expected blackout message when I attempt to view the games that are blacked out in my area)

Everything else works as I'd expect it. I can listen to live audio, and I can watch the "Recap" and "Condensed" of completed games.

Here is the log where I first attempt to access a non-free game and get the expected "Account Not Authorized" message, and then attempting to access the Free Game.

Please check your stream quality settings. The stream you were going after was a 4500 bitrate which I don't believe exists anymore. 4500 is an old quality selection from the early days of this addon and since the move to 60fps the bitrates have changed.
Would it be possible in the list of feeds for a game to show the team names on the feed instead of "Home" or "Away"? For my team it's not a big deal since I recognize the feed and know who's home or away, but when starting to watch a random game I don't always remember who was home or away when I select a game and then have to decide on a feed to watch.

Not a big deal but it would be a nice feature IMO.

Your Python installation is missing the Python Imaging Library Module (PIL). Install this for your Linux distribution.

I don't know how to do that.

I have tried sudo apt-get install python-imaging - I get sudo not found

Any suggestions? I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks for reading.

Good info. But when this build for the Xios DS M3 was made they must have removed all of the necessary tools that I really need right now. I have tried:
sudo apt-get
pip install --no-index -f http://dist.plone.org/thirdparty/ -U PIL
configure

All I get are not found errors, I am not linux smart enough to know how to install the tools to update python.
If you or anyone can help I would gladly buy you some tasty beverages.

So I was not very familiar with this platform until I searched the Pivos forums and the Kodi Wiki

According to the logs you are on the Linux 32 bit build using a dated version of Kodi

Your best option is to look into an overall upgrade of the platform (OS as well as Kodi), rather than trying to learn a lot about Linux and other limitations of the platform. A similar question was asked about it in this thread on the Pivos forums and I found the recommendation the Pivos employee very satisfactory.

The linked recommendation to upgrade to TOFULinux will actually also bring your Kodi to Jarvis 16.x version as they have upgraded the base, which should have all the dependencies for this addon built in. You could also try to move to Android etc and those guides also provided easy step-by-step instructions.

While tasty beverages are always appreciated, please send them to @eracknaphobia for obvious reasons. Blush Mutual help on these forums doesn't require any incentives.
