I've also added a link to the most current Jarvis version on the first post as well.

I've tried this zip with Kodi 16.1 (version numbers are a little more helpful) and I cannot get a live stream or archived game stream to work but highlights work.

When I try to start a live or archived game Kodi crashes. Nothing helpful prints in the kodi.log.
Still need a log file whether you think the info is helpful or not. See first post on how to post one.

EDIT:
I've updated mlb.tv in my repo to 2017.4.2. This update includes the new proxy settings and a fix for the android crash. I won't be pushing this version to the kodi repo until I have confirmed the new updates are bug free. Please report any issues you come across.

Enjoy!

Working well. Nice job, thanks
I am getting an error also. Ive got a Nvidia Shield, running Kodi17.1. using 4.2 verstion. The app ran great last year, this is the first time Ive tried it this year. The regular MLB.tv app from the app store works fine but I want the 60fps from the kodi app.

Here is my error log

On a side note...what proxy server is everyone using just out of curiosity?

EDIT: After the Red Sox game was over (blackout team) I turned off my custom dns settings (adfreetime) and went back to the kodi app for an out of market game and it worked fine.
Hi everyone. I successfully installed this app onto an android box. However, the video streams in the top, left of my tv and doesn't take up the full screen. Additionally, when viewing the previous days games, it shows the score when you go to select the game. Obviously this ruins the enjoyment of watching the game when you already know the outcome! I appreciate any assistance that can be offered for these issues.
Does kodi display full-screen? Maybe look here: http://kodi.wiki/view/Settings/System/Display#General

As far as hiding the scores:
Addon Settings > Visual > Hide Scores

Hey, thank you! I'll definitely adjust that setting to hide scores. I appreciate you pointing out where to do that. As for Kodi showing full screen, yes, I use the exodus app all the time without issue. It's just the mlbtv one giving me a problem.

I have Private Internet Access. Also, have AdfreeTime.
I don't need use PIA with MLB. AddfreeTime works when I need it.
Something I noticed, if I am connected to PIA proxy, and have AFT DNS on in the router, I can not reach MLB.com domain at all. Not in any browser, app, or anything. But if I use just one, either PIA or AFT, MLB domain works.
i've been struggling pretty much all day trying to get my buffering issues worked out, which only seem to be present when i use smart dns. when i turn smart dns off, everything works fine...with smart dns on, occasional buffering. also, 2017.3.7 from the official repo works much better than the one from eracknaphobia's repo (with 2017.4.2 i had buffering to the point where it's pretty much unwatchable...every few seconds or so). any ideas how i can get this resolved? is it possible to increase the buffer cache more than the 5-10 seconds it seems to be stuck at? there doesn't seem to be any buffering issues with archived games, only with live games...

edit: there's definitely something strange going on with 4.2 vs 3.7. the timer overlay has a strange large number as the first timer and the second number seems to be the time since the stream was started, and the marker stays planted at the end of the buffer bar. in 3.7, the first number is always 5-10 seconds behind the second number, and the marker stays a little bit behind the end of the buffer bar (and moves as the buffer goes up and down). every minute or so, it catches up with the end of the bar and then refills it...

edit 2: even on 3.7, the buffering issue seems to be exacerbated during commercial breaks. it seems i can get an entire half inning to play without buffering most of the time...but then it'll usually get stuck during the commerical break. not sure why that would be happening, but it happens almost every inning...

edit 3: just installed a new wifi AP that improved my computer connection from 100Mbps to 450Mbps (sitting right next to the tv and fire stick), and somehow made the problem WORSE. ugh.

It seems to be localized to Kodi 16.1 as running Kodi 17 the live games play fine. I'll try to give you more information when I can.

here's the relevant part of my kodi log for my last attempt to get this damn thing working. i'm so frustrated at this point...any help would be greatly appreciated. i should have more than enough bandwidth for this to stream without a hitch, and i know other people have gotten it working so i'm not sure what exactly i'm doing wrong.

The Best Available option for video stream resulted in every stream erroring out. Changing to a set stream kbps (5000) worked for me.

Is there a way to get 1080p? All of the streams seem to top out at 720p60, even at 5000kbps.
Hey all,
Not sure if this is the best place to ask, but thought I'd give it a shot anyways.

I used to use a combo of MLBMC and a Smart DNS service to watch MLB.TV with a paid account through Kodi, All last season this worked fine. Now, when I tried to use it this season, it is giving a failed to play error for in-market teams. I saw that this was the current supported app so I tried it out and it is telling me I am blacked out again? I notice some of you are using Adfreetime and this app and it is working for you. Does this not work on the Fire TV anymore? Or is it something I set up incorrectly?
