EDIT:
I've updated mlb.tv in my repo to 2017.4.2. This update includes the new proxy settings and a fix for the android crash. I won't be pushing this version to the kodi repo until I have confirmed the new updates are bug free. Please report any issues you come across.
Enjoy!

As far as hiding the scores:
Addon Settings > Visual > Hide Scores

The app ran great last year, this is the first time Ive tried it this year. The regular MLB.tv app from the app store works fine but I want the 60fps from the kodi app.
Here is my error log

On a side note...what proxy server is everyone using just out of curiosity?
EDIT: After the Red Sox game was over (blackout team) I turned off my custom dns settings (adfreetime) and went back to the kodi app for an out of market game and it worked fine.

I've tried this zip with Kodi 16.1 (version numbers are a little more helpful) and I cannot get a live stream or archived game stream to work but highlights work.
When I try to start a live or archived game Kodi crashes. Nothing helpful prints in the kodi.log.
(2017-04-05, 02:39)matty8199 Wrote: [ -> ]i've been struggling pretty much all day trying to get my buffering issues worked out, which only seem to be present when i use smart dns. when i turn smart dns off, everything works fine...with smart dns on, occasional buffering. also, 2017.3.7 from the official repo works much better than the one from eracknaphobia's repo (with 2017.4.2 i had buffering to the point where it's pretty much unwatchable...every few seconds or so). any ideas how i can get this resolved? is it possible to increase the buffer cache more than the 5-10 seconds it seems to be stuck at? there doesn't seem to be any buffering issues with archived games, only with live games...
edit: there's definitely something strange going on with 4.2 vs 3.7. the timer overlay has a strange large number as the first timer and the second number seems to be the time since the stream was started, and the marker stays planted at the end of the buffer bar. in 3.7, the first number is always 5-10 seconds behind the second number, and the marker stays a little bit behind the end of the buffer bar (and moves as the buffer goes up and down). every minute or so, it catches up with the end of the bar and then refills it...
edit 2: even on 3.7, the buffering issue seems to be exacerbated during commercial breaks. it seems i can get an entire half inning to play without buffering most of the time...but then it'll usually get stuck during the commerical break. not sure why that would be happening, but it happens almost every inning...
edit 3: just installed a new wifi AP that improved my computer connection from 100Mbps to 450Mbps (sitting right next to the tv and fire stick), and somehow made the problem WORSE. ugh.
