Piracy Policy or the
Forum Rules. The addon you mentioned is not supported here and posts concerning them will be sent to the garbage. Also, to use this addon you must have a valid (paid for) MLB.tv account. Judging by your first post that may not be the case. If not and you do have a legit account, i'll be happy to help.
I did not know that add on was not supported as I was responding to a post that I thought was approved by this site. Thanks for the clarification.

Have you gotten much feedback on the efficacy of the CDN setting? To me it seems like the Level 3 feeds have a lot more problems than the Akamai feeds. But it seems a little strange to me that Level 3 would have chronic problems and that MLBTV's management would be oblivious to the problem.

FWIW, the subscription of MLBTV is well worth the money if you’re a baseball fan who watches more than a few games per year. That’s because all the (non-blacked out) games are there all the time and the quality of the video is excellent when viewed with eracknaphobia's add-on for Kodi. The pirates pale in comparison.
Mlb.tv wont install on kodi 17...says installation failed..when i go to install from repository & find mlbtv..I click on install..gives me 2 versions..1-erachnapobia 4.5 or kodi addon repository very. 4.2..I click on the 4.5 version says installation failed.. but when I click on the 4.2 it installs but wrong version..how to install get version 4.5 ?

I think its because 4.5 is not there, but if you go to eracknaphobia github you can grab the master and thats 4.6 and install from zip
That worked...thanks for the help
I can't get it to work I click on the Pirates vs Braves games and it says failed to load but as soon as there is a commercial break it connects till the break is over then goes back to the list of games
Kodi16.1 Jarvis with 7/2016 addon and most recent for Jarvis both have very bad buffering tonight. I have 'no preference' set for CDN. Any suggestions?
The afternoon game I watched with the 7/2016 version of the addon was fine.

Did you try "Akamai" as the CDN setting? That works for me but I don't know whether it's something that works in all cases. The "Level 3" setting works very poorly for me and I think that if you pick 'no preference' for the CDN you could get connected to Level 3 at least some of the time.

I have it set to Akamai now. The stream did stabilize while still on 'no preference' but could have been due to less traffic, as it was about 9:30 p.m. on the U.S. east coast when that happened.. Of course the archived game I just finished watching at 5:30 a.m. was virtually, if not completely flawless. I won't get my hopes up for peak hour performance tomorrow night.
I still can't get it to work no matter what settings i use. I get the error that it failed to play and only connects to the stream during the commercial breaks once the commercial break is over it goes back to the list of games.
I've tried every setting I can think of but they all do the samething anything I can do?? Doing a fresh copy of kodi isnt' an option cause i'm using a box that had a special kodi created with apps and all that already however i did add the MLB myself.
At first I couldn't update it but then i found the master one that upgraded to 4.6 but I still can't connect to streams I do have a MLB premium account that I got for being a T-Mobile customer so i'm not sure what the problem is or why the streams won't connect till a commercail break comes on.
Update 2017.4.12 Released
- Rolled back the stream urls to previous version (to fix commercial break issues)
- Lowered the python version so Jarvis users can install directly from my repo. So from now on all versions in my repo will support jarvis 16 and up and the version in the official kodi will be Krypton 17 and up
So if we are using Krypton then your repo should be uninstalled as it will forever show an update available for the older python version? Seems like you are doing it backwards...put the older out of date version (Jarvis) in the official repo and have the current (krypton) version in your repo.....seems strange that you are even maintaining 2 versions.
No one has to uninstall anything, the only difference will be my repo will support back 1 version of kodi. The addons code in kodi official and my repo will be exactly the same except for xbmc.python version.
You can't submit new addons to older versions of kodi in the official repo, when I submitted this addon 17 was the current version so that's as far back as it can support.
