(2018-06-10, 03:33)hhqjdaasc Wrote: [ -> ]Thanks, found it. In my install of Kodi 17.6 that was disabled and that option doesn't seem to exist in SPMC.  When I enable it, I seem to get 540p video (about 2500 kbps) every time even though 720p/60Hz usually streams just fine for me.

I had this happen too. Go back to the Inputstream Adaptive addon, enable it, go to its settings/configure screen, and enable the option "Ignore Display Resolution." Then try watching again in MLB.TV.
Thanks for that tip.  That lets me get 720p/60fps with inputstream adaptive enabled. However I'm not sure that inputstream adaptive is giving me any tangible benefits versus setting the resolution manually.

Yeah, I did some more research, and currently, InputStream Adaptive doesn't actually do any switching during playback. It just picks a bitrate at stream startup based on the calculated speed from the previous stream. Hopefully switching comes eventually, the developer says it is "prepared but not yet activated."

I did find one benefit, though -- if you set stream selection to "Manual" in the InputStream Adaptive add-on settings, then you can switch between bitrates while playing the stream just by bringing up the OSD (under Video Settings, just like the alternate audio tracks are under Audio Settings). Seems a little easier than backing out of the stream and loading it again. You could probably even make a keymap to make it an easy toggle.

I'm trying that "manual" selection trick now.  I like it, it gives nearly instant switching to a different stream of the same broadcast.
Main reason I stopped using inputstream adaptive is because stereo streams get reduced to mono.
Ever since the patch to enable streams using inputstream.adaptive, if "Stream Selection: Auto" is chosen, the default behavior for inputstream.adaptive is to merge audio streams that appear to be the same.

The English from TV and English from Radio audio streams are both being labeled as "English - AAC - 2 channels", so inputstream.adaptive treats them the same, and merges them together.

I have opened an issue on the inputstream.adaptive github site, https://github.com/peak3d/inputstream.ad...issues/160 - but I suspect that the fix may require an update to the mlb.tv plugin to provide the "English from TV" vs. "English from Radio" distinction, so that inputstream.adaptive can see they are in fact different audio streams.

UPDATE: the author of inputstream.adaptive is looking to fix this in his plugin
Thanks for bringing attention to this issue. Seems to be fixed now in the latest kodi nightly.

Yep, I tested it last night and closed the github issue on inputstream.adaptive
Hello. This is my first post on kodi.tv. I'm fairly new to kodi, but I'm a quick learner when it comes to tech. I have run into problems on my box, and successfully fixed them. However, I am having a problem with MLB.tv on someone else's box. They are not tech savvy, so I am remotely accessing and managing their box. I just installed the most recent version for them (the same version that works for me). However, when they go to play a stream, it locks up their box 9 out of 10 times. The stream acts like it's going to load, but it never does, and everything freezes, and the box needs to be restarted. I can't figure out what's wrong. And the only thing I could thing of, is that maybe they have an older version of Kodi, maybe Kodi 16. If that is the case, could there be a compatibility issue? And if so, what version of MLB.tv is compatible with Kodi 16? And will am older version still function properly? I'm open to try all suggestions. However, I can not always try them immediately, due to me having to remotely access their box. Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.

ALSO, THANK YOU TO ERACKNAPHOBIA FOR THIS GREAT ADD-ON (and anyone else who had a hand in it)!!
Follow instructions here to get a log file, it should tell you what is happening.
The add-on seems to be workkng today. I'm not sure why, but I won't complain. Haha. So I'm not gonna get the debug log until it stops working again. Thanks for the quick response.
Update 2018.7.11 Released
- Added Catch Up feature to live games
- Fix Stream order bug
- List game start time instead of Pre-Game

Catch Up feature plays all highlights before joining the live game in progress
After upgrading to Milhouse version 0711 (alpha) today, the condenced games doesn't lag. Still using the 2018.6-something version of this addon.

When I tried on LibreELEC 8.2.5 with same version of the addon, the videos becomes unwatchable after 25-30 seconds.
FYI, All games today through Sunday will be Free, you just need a valid mlb.tv account (no subscription required).
Could you get rid of the Catch Up feature you added in the last update? Its just an annoyance. Like it better with out it.Thank You kindly.
