I believe it's called the scrub bar, the bar in the lower section of the screen with play, pause, fwd, rwd buttons after starting a video, see image:

Everytime you start a video, start it after pause, the bar stays on-screen for a couple of seconds.
I would really like to have the option to change this on-screen time and have the bar disappear right after pressing play.

I'm on Win7 64-but, running Kodi 16.0, default skin, Confluence.

Yup, very annoying when watching video with subs

It shouldn't do that if you start it with a remote control. Maybe with a mouse. If you are using a mouse then use this: http://kodi.wiki/view/Alternative_keymap...e#Keymap_1
