Full Version: Write Ratings (POPM) to ID3

Firstly i understand why Kodi doesn't write to ID3 tags for large fields like title, album etc.

My request/issue really is that unlike these fields that aren't editable in Kodi, the "rating" field is editable, and this is stored in Kodi's centralised database. In the event that someone wants to move to another platform, or migrate/clean their DB, change source, paths and such they would lose all their ratings. I have 15,000+ tracks, and if i spend months rating all my music, i would be great to be able to store this info in the file tags themselves.

Would it be possible to have a context menu item specifically for this, or somewhere in "Expert" library, i think it would be great for people to rate music whilst listening, via the GUI (which can be done right now), but then be able to write these to their tags.

If it helps some i can make a donation/small bounty via bitcoin
