Basically the subject says it all - all the 'canadian' apps I've seen out there do not actually carry the SD CBC live news. All dead, all gone.
Any advice on this one?

If you're talking about the 24/7 PAY CBC news channel, you'll have to get it through a local cable co. Otherwise the CBC add-on through the officinal repository is spanking, Check 'The National' link, but you'll find CBC post it a little behind, or get it 'live' at air time.
