Is it possible to sync the application and system volume? I'm using 16.0 with Ubuntu 14.04. I am am using a pulse eight CEC adapter, and system volume will turn up/down my AVR. I have my IR remote controlling the system volume, but if I use the iOS app/remote, everything gets thrown off. I would be fine if I need to do this as a python script/ plugin, would just need some pointers on getting started. Just hoping that there is any easy way that I'm overlooking.

Nope, sadly. the pulse-eight control controls the AVR directly (behind the back of the OS) while the ios remote changes kodi's internal volume as it has no access to the AVR directly.
