i'm trying to get my skin to write <setting id="FirstTimeRun" type="bool">true</setting> in the settings.xml in the addon_data folder so that i can run a script but since Jarvis update my skin will no longer write FirstTimeRun. Does anyone know how to fix this?

where is your code?

just put <onload> in home.xml or startup.xml with SetBool and your conditions...
