While Kodi is running enter the settings>add-ons> activate the left edge of the screen with the mouse (or use the left arror on a keybaord) and a sliding menu will offer 'Notifications', toggle that to off and in auto-updates, turn that off as well. Kodi is just telling you there is a new version available.
Or, just open Google Play and update Kodi :)
