Video presentation (english) of HiMedia Q10 Pro :
I'm following a lot of forums but no one confirmed hdr streaming onto these devices. Himedia Q10 Pro looks be able to play and output 4k hevc 10bit hdr files but can it access hdr stuff on streaming services(Netflix,Amazon, Vudu) ? Is there any app can do this? Also there is still no files in hdr other than few samples. At least i only know
http://demo-uhd3d.com. Is there any dolby vision hdr sample?
No, it can't do 4K or even HD off Netflix, Amazon, etc.
Quick update... there's a private v1.0.3_2015-05-17 f/w for beta-testers that fixes the following:
- Sony ‘Camp’ 10-bit HDR 4k @ 59.940 clip now plays fine and looks gorgeous! So, all 4K video types are now playing well
- The L/R swap eyes function now works (yea!)
- Couple of other minor fixes
I'm guessing the official f/w should be out shortly.

is playing MVC MKVs fixed or do we need ISOs?
what about microstutters?
new firmware includes new wrapper?
L/R swap eyes function now works = for right-eye first 3D titles, the setting in the menu now works to flip eyes so 3D looks correct. Press the ‘Menu’ button, then choose Setup, then 3D/2D Mode, then Advanced Setup, then finally Switch Right and Left ... it's too many steps, so have asked HiMedia to add it after you choose Setup (2nd step).
Playing MVC MKV's fixed = no. On feature request spreadsheet shared w/them, but no idea if/when they'll add this.
What about microstutters? ... Unfortunately still there
. They said they're fixing things "one by one". This particular issue I think will take time. It plagued the last-gen Q5/Q10 as well. Have given them a 23.976 scrolling credits sample, in which frame skips are easier to notice (as there are jumps, approx. every minute, when the scrolling should be smooth). My PJ reports it's getting "23.97", so there's something slightly off in Q10 Pro w/23.976 output. I don't see the microstutters for example with my Intel NUC.

Skank, wrapper isn't included... as before, must download from Futeko's site and sideload.

OlivierQC, try
this sample and watch closely as credits scroll, especially after about 40 seconds in, then again around 1min30secs onward.

Cool at this rate we might have a fully working device in a couple of years
