As i recall you have to start with 12 or 13.2 to scrape to MySQL, i am now on 14.2 and scraping.
So far so good, but when i then install Version 15 Isengard it fails to start in the beginning.

Is it because it can not find the database?
I am still using xbmc/xbmc as user and password.

Who knows ? Can't tell without a http://kodi.wiki/view/Debug_log

You can do a fresh scrape on any version.
There's no advantage (that I know of) in starting with an earlier xbmc / kodi and upgrading.
Needs a debug log to show what's happened.
If there's a database already there kodi will upgrade it (or try to) - if that's failed you'll need to drop the corrupt database in mysql and re-start kodi.
Or just drop them all and scrape again in the kodi version you actually want to use.

The fault was the databases exited so i deleted them.
