There is no more options to tweek the BIOS beside increasing the video RAM, I have do more some research.

Turn that PROC IDLE SETTING to whatever is opposite of Low Power.

Also, looking at the bios pages its pretty clear they have limited every aspect of performance to the extreme on NUC's , obviously a trade off for the small size, low noise. IMO if you cant move all those MAX AMP sliders to 100% and run the hardware the at its stock levels and allowing it to use the proper/standard amount of power needed without overheating, I would consider them all basically broken. No?

On the DN2820 there is much tweaking option in the Bios.

Can you please send me the link?
Nice deal... sucks as I paid $125 for used. It's almost a no-brainer at $95 as there's nothing to assemble, comes w/Win 64-bit, 32GB SSD and 2GB RAM. Wish it had 4GB for RAM, but seems to matter not for Kodi/MVC use. Some of the old stock 3050's still have Win8, but it's a free upgrade to Win10 anyway.

@sarcoptic, have a direct link? I'm not seeing it in Dell Outlet.

There is no Performance Tab in the DN2820, i think that option is only available in i3 and up

With Celeron J1800, odd only Dell Micro seems the sole/main option. Or, Dell Small Form Factor tower. Why aren't there other NUC-like mini boxes w/this Celeron?

Edit: I'm seeing some on eBay and NewEgg...
- Pegatron
- Funky looking Foxconn unit
- Habey

Only heard of Foxconn out of those... better to stick w/Dell. Hopefully goes on sale again.

Unfortunately they go really quick when in stock. You just need to keep refreshing as stock goes in and out:
Dell Outlet USA
It should already be sorted by price low to high. If its not at the top just keep refreshing. It took me 20 minutes before one finally popped in. Good luck and hope more join in Smile
