I just read on the forum about the Sideload way of installing Kodi app on Apple TV 4. I wonder why can't the Kodi app officially be made available on the Apple App store?

Primarily the add-on functionality... Apple doesn't allow the implementation Kodi uses
If you want a version of Kodi without the addons
MrMc is a excellent alternative that IS available on the App Store
It includes just about everything you would get from the base Kodi app but does not include any addon functionality
Ah I see.. maybe Apple policy or something.
Nevertheless, I installed the recent pre-alpha build and it's seems pretty cool.
